  • Minutes silence

Tue 28 Apr 2020 Mrs Tipton

    Good Morning Everyone,

A few little updates from me.

Today at 11am we will be having 1 minutes silence to remember those who have been affected by Covid 19.  I hope you will take the time to sit quietly and join the nation in this sign of respect for our NHS/Key Workers and their families but also to everyone who may have lost a loved one at this challenging time.

I have included a link to a free book called HOPES

    https://literacytrust.org.uk/family-zone/9-12/book-hopes/

I saw this book and thought you might like it.

The Book of Hopes: Words and Pictures to Comfort, Inspire and Entertain Children in Lockdown

Completely free for all children and families, the extraordinary collection of short stories, poems, essays and pictures has contributions from more than 110 children’s writers and illustrators, including Lauren Child, Anthony Horowitz, Greg James and Chris Smith, Michael Morpurgo, Liz Pichon, Axel Scheffler, Francesca Simon and Jacqueline Wilson.

The collection, published by Bloomsbury, is dedicated to the doctors, nurses, carers, porters, cleaners and everyone currently working in hospitals.

    Have a read and enjoy!

  • William Shakespeare's Birthday- 23rd April

Thu 23 Apr 2020 Miss Musa

    Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all well, managing to stay safe and enjoying your very different days.

I cannot believe we have not seen you all for almost 6 weeks- it feels like when we have the summer holidays. We hope you are all keeping yourself busy and doing as you are told. We are looking forward to hearing about all the amazing things you have been doing.

We are all doing our best to cope with this very uncertain time. Please stay safe, well, happy and have fun. We are missing you all and cannot wait to see you again.

As today is Shakespeare’s birthday, I have added a fact pack for you to have a look at on Seesaw. Please do not enter the competition as this does not apply this year.

    Enjoy and take care!

    Miss Musa

  • We Miss You All

    Mon 20 Apr 2020

    Dear Parents, Carers and Children,

I hope you are well and looking after yourselves!

In these strange times I want you to know that you are never far from our thoughts and we miss seeing everyone at school.

As we embark on the 5th week of lock down I wanted to reassure you all that you are doing a great job of supporting learning at home but please remember to also be kind to yourselves.

Whenever we are reunited we will work together to get learning back on track.

The most important thing we need you to do is look after the social and emotional well being of yourselves and those you love.

    • Be the calm and the strength for each other
    • Make time to rest and time to exercise
    • Share your hidden talents be it cooking or maybe knitting
    • Spend time playing family games like eye spy or board games
    • Write stories together or paint and draw
    • Listen to music and make up dances
    • Smile, talk and laugh together
    • Smile, talk and laugh some more

When we finally come out of this strange time and normality returns, the staff at RAMJS will set about re-establishing learning and that will be much easier with healthy and happy children who have gained life experiences and happy memories of time spent with their loved ones.

“No children are ahead, no children are behind, every child is exactly where they need to be.”

Until we are back together, stay strong, stay safe and stay at home!

    Kindest Regards

Mrs Nickson and all the staff at RAMJS

  • FSM Vouchers

    Thu 09 Apr 2020

If your child receives Free School Meals, you will shortly be receiving an email from DFE/ Eden Red.  These are the providers of the Free School Meal vouchers.

The vouchers have been set up by school on 6th April 2020; however, we have no way of speeding the process up. Therefore, please be patient; the vouchers will arrive when the DFE/Eden Red have been able to process all the requests from all schools across the country.

You will receive a test email.  This may go into your SPAM so please check your SPAM mail box.

    Kind Regards

    Mrs Nickson

  • Message for our parents with SEN children from Acorns

Wed 01 Apr 2020 Mrs Tipton
    Good Morning!

Here at Acorn in our endeavours to offer as much assistance & support as possible to schools, their pupils, & parents, I would like to take this opportunity to let you know that during these very trying times, Acorn would be more than happy to provide a skype/telephone consultation (which would of course be free of charge) in the event that any parent of an SEN child be struggling, and possibly perhaps in need of some extra support.

Should you feel that this type of support may be of benefit, please could you send our contact details onto any parent where appropriate, & ask them to contact Acorn directly (Office No:-01254 686937 & email:-enquiries@acornpsychology.co.uk), & finally, should you wish to do so, please feel free to include details of this additional support on your school website.

Many thanks, & I look forward to hearing from you,

    All best wishes.

    Gail.
