We were very lucky to be joined in assembly by PC Walsh this morning. She even came out to chat to us during break time! We look forward to PC Walsh's return over the next term, when she will be working in classes, talking in more detail about her important role in our community.

  • Theatre visit to Bolton

Wed 17 Jan 2018 Kathryn Hutchins

On Saturday 13th January some of Y5 went to see A Christmas Carol at the Bolton Octagon theatre thanks to Fulwood Church Theatre group.

We have a fabulous time leaving at 12 to catch the coach to Bolton and then having some time in the aquarium opposite the theatre before having our lunch and watching the excellent performance.

Here are a selection of photographs to show you all what a great time we all had.

A huge thanks to the Theatre and to the theatre group from Fulwood church who enabled us to join them.

  • Advice for parents - what to do if your child sees something upsetting online

  • The Daily Mile

Mon 15 Jan 2018 Coach Dan

Starting Monday 15th January 2018 we are running a new whole school initiative known as ‘The Daily Mile’. The idea behind the initiative is to improve physical and mental wellbeing in all our pupils by providing them with 15 minutes of extra physical activity per day.

All pupils and staff will be expected to take part in the initiative. Therefore, your child will need to bring with them some appropriate footwear for exercise (trainers/pumps), a water bottle and any inhalers or medication should they require it. If they fail to bring suitable footwear and clothing they will be expected to take part in what they have worn to school that day instead.

If your child is unable to partake due to any medical reasons please make the class teacher aware in person or via a written note.
