Autumn 2 - Programming
To begin our topic we looked at computer networks and our own LAN (local area network)in school. We went on a hunt for different devices on our school network and created a network map.
We physically acted out how the network sends messages between devices.
We then went on to make talking avatars of some of the devices like the server, switch and wireless access point to explain their role.
Microbits
Year 4 are creating programs for the Microbits, turning them into name badges, magic 8 balls, thermometers and rock paper scissor games. We will progress to using them as controllers for scratch games!
