Moral

At RAMJS we feel that it is important for children to develop a good understanding of right and wrong and to support children in being able to make the right choices both now and in the future.

We have embedded restorative practices throughout school, using forgiveness and discussion at the heart of all we do.

Children are encouraged to be honest and to say sorry if they have done anything wrong. The impact of this has been so powerful that we have seen a significant reduction in altercations between children.

To ensure that it is modelled throughout, children will also see the adults in school 'owning' there mistakes and working to put them right.

These skills are designed to help our children become the well-rounded, emotionally secure adults of tomorrow who use  forgiveness and understanding to resolve conflict.

Within our curriculum provision we develop children's understanding of moral issues and their knowledge of the world around them. We encourage children to be respectful of others who are different to themselves.

We look for ways to build in our Moral Purpose and promotion of courageous acts that will make the world a better place.
