Children will bring their reading books home every day and are required to always have them in school.  Reading books will be changed on a regular basis depending on their reading ability.

It would be extremely beneficial for your child to read at home every day (15 minutes). Please read and comment in your child’s reading record – we really welcome and appreciate your comments.

Children are taught the 1st and 2nd High Frequency word at the start of their primary education.  This is to support pupils with their early reading and is essential to support children with their reading and writing as the progress through school.  

Whilst we anticipate that most children are able to read and write these words, it would be a great revision activity for all children to ensure they are easily able to use these words on a daily basis.
