Appointment of Headteacher of Ribbleton Avenue Methodist Junior School

Dear Parent/carer,

I am very pleased to be able to inform you Mrs Frances Nickson has been appointed as the Headteacher of Ribbleton Avenue Methodist Junior School. Mrs Nickson will be known to many of you and your children as she has been a member of the senior leadership team of Ribbleton Avenue Infant School for the last five years. She has been preparing herself for headship for some time. She will take up her post on 1 September 2018.

As you know Mrs Alexander-Steele will be leaving school on Friday 27 April. As she leaves the school, the members of the Governing Body offer her their deep gratitude for all that she had done to guide the education and development of hundreds of children during her years of headship of the school. She leaves with our very best wishes for every success in her new post.

The Acting Headteacher in the intervening period will be Mrs Kathryn Hutchins, the school’s Deputy Headteacher. Some other adjustments in staff responsibilities may be necessary during this period and you will be informed if they will affect your child.

Changes such as these are normal in the life of any school and we are confident that the education of your children will continue to be provided in a safe, secure and successful environment.
