Lancashire SEND Local Offer
Lancashire County Council’s SEND Local Offer brings together information, services and support available for children and young people aged 0–25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families. The Local Offer aims to make it easier for families to find clear, accessible information in one place and to help parents, carers and young people make informed decisions about support and provision available locally.
The Local Offer includes information about:
- Education and SEND support
- Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Health services
- Social care support
- Early years and childcare
- Specialist services
- Emotional wellbeing and mental health support
- Activities and support groups
- Transition to adulthood
- Advice and guidance for parents and carers
- Finance, transport and short breaks
- Local charities and support organisations
Families can also access the SEND Directory and FIND newsletters through the Local Offer website, helping parents stay informed about local opportunities, events and support services available across Lancashire.
Lancashire SEND Joint Commissioning Strategy
Lancashire's Joint Commissioning Strategy 2025–2028 sets out how Lancashire County Council and health partners work together to plan and commission services for children and young people aged 0–25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
It explains the partnership approach to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND across education, health and social care.
