For our final half term we are going to begin by studying the book 'Usain Bolt' in order to write our own biographies based on a famous sportsman/women. We are going to embed our skills in fronted adverbials, using the past tense and ambitious vocabulary. 

 

Summer 1

 

During this half term, we are using the Anthony Browne book 'Into the Forest' to write our own lost narrative. As part of this we will be having a major focus on description including personification and ambitious adjectives. We will then use this book to then innovate our own story about being lost in a new setting. 

 

We will also be using the text to set up our own investigation into children being lost in the fores.t. We are then going to interview an eye witness and the turn this into a recount. Again we will be focusing on including adverbials and using past tense verbs.
