Summer 2

This term, Year 3 will be learning about Spain, with a particular focus on the region of Andalusia. The children will compare life in Andalusia with a region in the United Kingdom, exploring similarities and differences in climate, landscapes, culture, food and daily life. Through maps, photographs and research activities, pupils will develop their geographical skills and gain a greater understanding of how people live in different parts of Europe. We will also learn about famous landmarks, traditions and the importance of tourism in Spain.
Summer 1

Stone Age to Iron Age
In Year 3 this term, we will be travelling back in time to explore life from the Stone Age through to the Iron Age. The children will learn how people lived, hunted and survived during prehistoric times, and discover how homes, tools and daily life changed over thousands of years. We will investigate important developments such as farming, metalworking and the building of monuments like Stonehenge. Through a range of exciting activities, artefacts and historical enquiry, pupils will develop their understanding of how Britain changed during this fascinating period of history.
