Every Friday, your child will receive homework to complete and return by the following Wednesday. This homework is designed to reinforce the learning taking place in class and help build confidence and independence. If your child would like to do additional learning at home, there are many simple and enjoyable ways to support them. These could include reading regularly, practising times tables or spellings, completing extra writing activities, using educational websites or apps, or talking about what they have learned in school. Any extra practice at home can make a big difference and is greatly appreciated! Here are some ideas:
By the end of Year 4, pupils should be confident with ALL the Timestables up to 12x12.
Year 4 children take part in a Times Table assessment in the Summer term.
