It is with great regret that we are having to close the 5R class bubble yet again due to another confirmed positive case of Covid-19. This also means that the 5RM group need to isolate too.

At this time, it does not affect the rest of the school. Some general guidance has been included on our website and has also been emailed out. https://www.ramjs.lancs.sch.uk/covid-19-bubble-closure/ Children who are isolating in the 5r and 5rm bubble will have learning via the Seesaw App. Should you need any support or guidance, please contact school via the office or using Class Doja / Seesaw.
Thank you once again for your support during these challenging times; it is greatly appreciated.

EU Settlement Scheme
Dear Parent/Carer,
The EU Settlement Scheme has been set up to provide immigration status to those who need it as the UK leaves the EU. It is therefore important that everyone that needs to, applies before the deadline of June 2021.
The EU Settlement Scheme has been designed with European Economic Area (EEA) citizens and their representatives to be simple and straightforward. It will be looking for reasons to grant, not for reasons to refuse.
It is estimated that there are more than 3.5 million EU citizens living in the UK and the Government is committed to enabling them to live here. The UK’s departure from the EU means that EEA citizens and their family members, will no longer be able to rely on the right of free movement and will need to obtain immigration status to demonstrate their right to remain in the UK. It means that they can continue to be eligible for:
The scheme opened on 30th March 2019 and applications must be made by June 2021. It is free to make applications to the scheme.
Full guidance is available at: https://www.gov.uk/eusettledstatus
On this website you will be able to:
Please be aware that the deadline for applications is June 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,
As you may already know, Monday 9th November is the start of this year’s BBC Children in Need Appeal Week. Ribbleton Juniors are excited to be joining in with other schools across the UK to participate in fundraising for this good cause.
This year’s theme is ‘Together, We Can' and we will be celebrating with a spotty themed non-uniform day on Friday 13th November 2020. Think big or small - full spotty themed outfits or just a pair of spotty socks – we welcome and encourage it all!
To help raise funds for Children in Need, we ask anyone wishing to wear something spotty to donate via ParentPay. The money received will go directly to the Children in Need Appeal. Please do not send cash.
Thank you for your continued support and let’s make a big difference to the lives of children across the UK.
Yours faithfully,
The RAMJS Team
We would greatly appreciate if you could support the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
The RBL need our help and support even more this year and all money raised goes straight to our brave service community.

You MUST keep your child off school if your child or any member of your household has symptoms, seeking a test or has tested positive.
School MUST be informed immediately of the above.
Parents MUST contact school when their child will be absent before 9:30am on 1st day of absence, giving a reason for this absence.
Thank you
Please have a look at this part of our website for some well-being activities for you and your child/ren to complete throughout November
Unfortunately due to Covid-19 we can’t currently have whole school assemblies together in the hall at the moment.
However we are extremely excited to be involved in a whole school assembly from Google about Internet Safety on Tuesday morning, which will be live streamed into classes at 9.30am. If your child is having to self isolate, don’t worry they need not miss out as the link to the assembly will be provided on seesaw for them to access.
The children love the resources from Google’s Internet Legend program, particularly the Interland interactive game and as such we are really looking forward to this assembly to help with children’s knowledge of how to stay safe online.
In the current climate, with an increased number of our children online, it is so important they have the tools to keep themselves protected online. Google have provided details of parent resources which children can enjoy at home to support their learning at the link provided.
