What are we looking at in English in half term?

During our first half term we will be studying the book ‘Street Child’ which fits in nicely with our wider topic of the Victorians. We will be using this text to create our own biographies and non-chronological reports. Please keep checking this page for examples of our writing :) 

Grammar in Y6

As part of our learning, we will be recapping some grammar objectives we have learnt in previous years and reminding ourselves of how to incorporate these into our writing. After this we will continue to embed our grammar learning as well as introduce some of our more complex year 6 grammar features.
